Our Story

My name is Ven. Walivitiye Dhamminda, and my journey began in Sri Lanka, where I entered the monastery at the age of 11 and lived as a Buddhist monk. This time deeply shaped me and taught me values such as compassion, mindfulness, and the importance of living a meaningful life.

At the age of 24, I came to Germany and worked as a caregiver, supporting children and adults with disabilities. This work showed me how important it is to give everyone a place in society—a place characterized by respect, dignity, and independence.

From the Temple education to social entrepreneurship.

Why a Textile Factory?

My siblings in Sri Lanka have worked in the textile industry their entire lives. Together with my brother, I had the vision to create a place where we could produce high-quality textiles while building a sustainable future for our employees.

For me, it’s about more than just a business. I want to help people locally develop a sense of self-worth and responsibility—without relying on permanent donations. Before my time in Germany, I lived off donations and know how that feels. This project is an opportunity for me to establish sustainable structures that will provide long-term support for people.

Responsibility and Quality

We believe that economic success and social responsibility can go hand in hand. Every order we fulfill is not just an opportunity for our business but also a contribution to a better future for our society in Sri Lanka.

I am proud that we have already been able to help many families, and I am confident that together with you, we can achieve even more.

A Bridge Between Germany and Sri Lanka

With our work, we aim to create a new perspective in Sri Lanka. As someone who has lived off donations myself, I understand how problematic it is when people become dependent on aid. Instead, we want to build sustainable structures that give people locally a sense of self-worth and independence.

Our mission is to:

  • Create jobs that make employees feel like valuable members of the community.

  • Integrate children with disabilities in Sri Lanka into meaningful activities, offering them a new perspective on life.

  • Use the revenue from our factory to fund social projects that will make a lasting positive impact.
